The arrival of the TGV, the challenge of eco-mobility (the first tram network in France), hotel construction projects in the works, the opening of the Zenith… Strasbourg is truly brimming with excitement.
With high-speed accessibility, it has become once again for many organizers a destination of choice. At Strasbourg Événements, we can measure it by the intensity of the 2007 season – 358 events with 810,000 visitors – and a booked calendar straight into 2012.
On the organisational side, after the successful 12^th edition of St-art-Lille – our contemporary art fair, we are now “exporting” the concept in 2008 by co-producing the first St’art-Lille with our friends from the North.
On the hosting side, numerous international conferences are in development for the next 5 years: the future is all the news in Strasbourg!      
Is it the ‘TGV Effect’? Not entirely, even if the brakes on commercialisation have been forever disengaged and even though its ‘booster’ effect is undeniable.  We continue to move forward: after a programme of construction and expansion these past two years, the Convention and Conference Centre is better designed, more attractive and more functional, meeting the demands of our clients with centralized services (hosting, stand design…).
And 2008 marks a turning point for our organisation, with the opening of the Strasbourg Convention Bureau, a veritable ticket-window for convention planners. Strasbourg Événements created this idea and set it in motion. With all the major players gathered under one umbrella (institutions, hotels, caterers, transporters…) Strasbourg gets a significant promotion in synergy and gains strength and canvassing power on the international market. Having the spotlight shine on our magnificent and welcoming urban and cultural capital should position this beautiful city as The European Hub for economic meetings.
